Checking out…

on September 1, 2011

Well, folks.  We’re taking off for an early labor day weekend, grabbing the kid from school and heading out of town!

Destination: the Big South Fork National River on the Kentucky/Tennessee border.

There will be river tubing, s’more making, hiking, and good old-fashioned tent camping.  There will be lots of running around (T1) and getting dirty (all of us), delicious camping food (why does it always taste so much better when you’re camping?) and yes, the inclusion of some adult beverages and card games once T1 is asleep. 😉  In short, there will be good times to be had by all, and I’m really looking forward to it.  We haven’t been camping all summer and we need the break.

I hope you all have a fantabulous labor day weekend and we’ll see you on the flip side!

River tubing sounds amazing! The last time I did that people had tied together whole flotillas of tubes so they could bring their kids, their dogs, and (most importantly) their coolers full of cheap beer and float down the river as a posse. Have tons of fun!
